These shoes are molded in one piece, made of a soft foam similar to the very popular and well known CROCS. The result of this is a shoe that is light to wear, waterproof and seamless. There is no inside sole that can come lose and irritate a sensory sensitive person.
The girls version of the shoe has no buckle and it is a stretch to put on the first time, after that is molds itself to the foot and is easy to take off and put back on, even for the youngest children.
It is suggested that for the boy version an adjustable lace or the well know no laces is used to avoid any issues that might be associated with children on the spectrum
